This $20 dress is going viral among news anchors across the country

Who doesn’t love a good deal?

When you’re a newscaster who spends every day on television, having a great, varied wardrobe to go with it is a lot more challenging than you might think.

So, any time there’s a great deal on a dress that works for the broadcast world, it’s likely to pop up in an all-women newscaster Facebook group that many female members of the broadcast community are in. Recently, a $19.99 scallop-sleeved dress found on Amazon was the latest deal that women across the country scooped up to the point where it sold out!

One newscaster, Frances Wang, aptly called the phenomenon the “Sisterhood of the Amazon dress.”

Wang told TODAY why the dress was such a great purchase for their line of work. “It’s flattering at the waist … there’s a little cut at the top at the neckline, but it’s not too low.”

A quick scan of Twitter showed that the dress really is everywhere! From Wisconsin to Tennessee to Texas.

And if this story sounds familiar, that’s because this isn’t the first time a dress has gone viral in the broadcast world. A few years back, a sheath dress made the rounds among female meteorologists because it’s bold, flattering and budget-friendly.
