Placemakr has announced the launch of Placemakr Dupont Circle, a historic mansion in Washington, D.C., transformed into a hospitality living property. The concept combines home and hospitality experiences. They also unveiled an extended-stay pop-up location, WhyHotel by Placemakr, in the Navy Yard area of D.C.
Situated on Dupont Circle, the project features 92 units and an event venue. WhyHotel by Placemakr offers 25 units for long-term stays, catering to business travelers and digital nomads.
“When Placemakr Dupont Circle was built, there were very distinct separations between what makes a building fit for hospitality vs. living, and that hasn’t changed much since. Today, we’re turning that on its head with mixed-use buildings that make both experiences better, giving flexibility to those properties and their cities,” said Jason Fudin, CEO of Placemakr.
