McHugh Construction Completes Uptown Rentals for John Buck

McHugh Construction recently completed Platform 4611, a nine-story mixed-use apartment building developed by The John Buck Company and Free Market Ventures at 4611 N. Broadway in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood.

The building brings 200 rental units and approximately 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail to the northeast corner of Broadway and Wilson Avenue, a short walk to the Wilson CTA train station. 

“Having started on the building during the height of the pandemic, we were thrown a couple of curve balls, but our team presented creative solutions throughout the project that saved time and added value,” said McHugh senior project manager Jeanne Bartels, who oversaw the construction of Platform 4611.  

She continued, “From using existing foundations to strategically reduce costs to securing materials and appliances through our broad network of suppliers during the pandemic-induced supply chain challenges, McHugh was able to deliver this project on schedule and on budget.”
