Paravel Capital to Build 230 Helotes BTR Units, Retail

Helotes is a town of under 10,000 on the NW outskirts of San Antonio. But it’s not too small or too far outside San Antonio to discourage an Austin BTR developer. Paravel Capital will start work on 230-unit, Bandera Ranch, at the end of this year. After breaking ground, the firm expects a construction timeline of 12 to 14 months. So far, over 1,000 BTR units are in the pipeline in San Antonio.
The San Antonio Business Journal reports each unit will be two stories, and while the exact mix hasn’t been finalized yet, there will be 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom configurations. Each home will come with a garage and a garden. Planned community amenities will include a pool, pickleball courts, dog parks and a clubhouse.
While those 230 units will take up much of the 31 acres, retail tenants will occupy the space fronting Highway 16.
