Waterton Acquires 321-Unit One Plantation Apartments

National real estate investment firm Waterton has acquired One Plantation, a 321-unit apartment community at 1650 SW 78th Ave. in Plantation, FL. Newmark’s South Florida team brokered the transaction for the 12-story LEED-certified apartment tower. It was built in 2013 as part of the 860-acre Plantation Midtown master plan.

One Plantation includes one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Unit renovations are planned to better position the property within its competitive set. Amenities include a four-story clubhouse Waterton plans to enhance, adding to the current business center, private work rooms, movie theater, multiple lounge areas, on-site dog park, catering kitchen and fitness center with cycle studio. Tennis courts will be converted to pickleball courts.

One Plantation is in the Plantation Midtown District master plan which includes 3 million square feet of office and 2.5 million square feet of retail space. The surrounding neighborhood features single-family homes, golf courses and country clubs.
